Questions relating to Remote ID

Got some questions about ScaleFlyt Remote ID? Here are some commonly raised questions for your reference.

Q1 | What is the reason for the SYSTEM LED displaying YELLOW and then transitioning to RED once I turn on the tracker? 

There are two possible reasons : 

  1. The tracker is not configured properly. Ensure that the tracker is associated to a mission and flight, more importantly the flight tracker configuration is updated
  2. There is poor network connectivity on your location

Q2 | I'm using the tracker for the first time, and I'm wondering why there's a significant delay before the SYSTEM LED shifts from yellow to a blinking blue state? 

During the initial startup, it might require a period of approximately 10 minutes to determine the optimal telecommunications network within the vicinity. Following this, subsequent startups will be notably faster, provided the tracker is utilized within a similar location.

Q3 | Why is the tracker not charging? 

Ensure you are not using a USB C-C cable with a USB Power Delivery charge port. It is also recommended to use the provided USB A to C cable. 

Q4 | How long does the tracker take to fully charge? 

 2.5 hours, the Power Led will turn green when it is fully charged.

Q5 | Why is my tracker still showing on the map after I switch it off?

It may take up to 3 minutes for the status of a Remote ID Tracker to update in the system after it has been switched off. This delay is in place to confirm that the tracker is indeed turned off and not due to a lost connection.
