How to register ScaleFlyt Remote ID trackers

This page explains the process to register ScaleFlyt Remote ID trackers in your organisation, and describes the tracker properties

INFORMATION

Trackers are managed in the organisation's equipment.

WARNING

A single tracker (with one serial number) can only be registered with a single organisation.

Tracker Registration

You’ll find the Trackers in the Organisation's Equipment menu.

Add a new tracker by clicking the or button positioned in the upper right corner of your screen. This will open the tracker creation window:

Enter the required tracker information and click the button to complete the tracker creation and registration process.

Tracker Properties Explained

Name, Serial Number, Flight Hours, Number of Flights and Notes are the properties that can be entered for the tracker. Name and Serial number are mandatory and the rest are optional fields.

The mandatory Name field defines the way that you will refer to this tracker throughout your organization. This field accepts alphanumeric characters.

You are free to name your trackers as you please. However, we recommend to chose distinctive and meaningful names.

For exemple: TAL_BLUE_45, where 'TAL' may the name of a team that the tracker is assigned to, 'BLUE' is the colour of markers placed on a batch of trackers to identify their purpose, and '45' is the last two digits of the tracker's serial number.

Serial Number is the unique identifier of your tracker. You can find this information on the label sticked on your tracker or on the packaging.

Flight hours and Number of Flights are optional fields which you can key in manually the usage of the tracker if it has been used before being onboarded in your organization.

Notes serves as a text input field that allows you to input supplementary details about your tracker

Troubleshooting

Your tracker already exists in the organisation

If a tracker already exists within your organisation, the following message will be displayed:

If this occurs, head back to the trackers list to confirm the tracker already exists and make any required updates.

Your tracker exists in another organisation

If a tracker is already registered within another organisation, the following message will be displayed:

If you believe this is a mistake, please contact our support team to investigate the conflict.

The tracker serial number does not exist

If a tracker serial number is unknown, the following message will be displayed:

Please check that the serial number you have entered is correct.
