How to care for ScaleFlyt Remote ID trackers

General guides on how to care for ScaleFlyt Remote ID Trackers

To ensure the optimal performance and longevity of the tracker, it is important to follow these care and usage guidelines. Please read these instructions carefully before using the tracker.

General Care

To ensure the optimal performance and longevity of the tracker, it is important to follow these guidelines:

  1. Avoid Impact: Take care not to drop the tracker on a hard surface or in liquids. Dropping the tracker can result in damage that may affect its functionality.
  2. Keep it Dry: Always keep the product dry. Exposure to moisture or liquids can lead to electrical damage or corrosion. If the tracker does get wet, power it off and let it dry completely before use.
  3. Temperature Considerations: Avoid exposing the tracker to extreme temperatures that could lead to corrosion, deformation, or malfunction. For best results, operate the tracker at temperatures between -10°C (14°F) and 40°C (104°F).
  4. Charging Precautions: Do not charge the tracker when it is exposed to temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or in excess of 45°C (113°F) or under direct sunlight. Charging in extreme temperatures can damage the battery and the tracker.

Usage Guidelines

  1. Battery Status: Avoid flying the tracker when the battery LED is indicating red. Flying with a low battery may lead to a sudden loss of power.
  2. Secure Mounting: Ensure that the tracker is securely mounted onto the drone before take-off. A loose or improperly mounted tracker may detach during flight, potentially causing damage to the tracker and the drone.

For best results, operate the tracker at temperature between -10°C (14 F) and 40°C (104 F).
